This Dawn was a Dutch new wave band from De Zilk, founded July 1985. Influences included Jesus and Mary Chain, Echo and the Bunnymen, Joy Division, the Cure and the Sisters of Mercy. This Dawn was successful, did well attended gigs (some with Claw Boys Claw and Tröckener Kecks), won a Big Dutch prize, had buzz, airplay and a cult status.
