Named after the 1962 NY Mets' inept first-baseman, "Marvelous" Marv Throneberry, Throneberry were a Cincinnati rock band formed by singer/guitarist Jason Arbenz and bassist Paul Cavins in 1990. Arbenz and Cavins met while attending Miami University in 1984, where they formed the band The Liquid Hippos.
