Tjuvar, Knarkare och Kommunister (Swedish for Thieves, Junkies and Communists) is a home recording synth pop project from Malmö, Sweden. TK&K was formed in 2003 as an exclusive project for a competition with another synth pop band, Kommunistiska Medlöpares Idrottsklubb from Östersund, Sweden. The competition was about who would finish recording a song first. TK&K lost; not surprisingly, since the band didn't even have proper synthesizers at the time.
