The origin of the band goes back to 1996 in the National School of Plastic Arts, Xochimilco, Mexico City, where the band Xiuhkoatl (blue serpent) starts making music only with pre-Hispanic origin instruments (making a record at the TV UNAM studios in 2001) giving some tours in Mexico city and some other states of Mexico.
