Today I Stand originally was formed by Matt Spencer when he was bored in his room with nothing to do. He started to write songs and came up with the first song dollhammer all alone. He and Matt Gromley decided to hit the studio together to get some good tracks down. The then grabbed guitarist Mikey Z and drummer Matt. They played a show at The BCA and then Matt left on terms of his other band. They then found Mihai to fill in for a few shows.
