Toho Sara (東方沙羅) is a band from Japan, formed by Asahito Nanjo (High Rise) and Makoto Kawabata (Acid Mothers Temple). They play an avant-garde mix of psychedelia and shamanic music. Asahito Nanjo and Makoto Kawabata have been playing together since the early 1990s when they created the underground group Johari, playing experimental ethnic fusion.
