Tony has been playing music all his life. He began as a gospel piano player and singer in his teens and took up guitar and banjo during the folk era. He became a professional musician in 1970 in New York and played everywhere from Gerde’s Folk City to Carnagie Hall. In 1975 he bought a telecaster and put together a highly successful country band.
