Transporte Urbano was born in 1982 in UTE University (now, named USACH). They began singin in city buses, then in universities, villages and "peñas", where the music in opposition to Pinochet's dictatorship were accepted and sheltered. In 1987 relased their first album "¿A'ónde la viste?" with a folkloric/acoustic sound and rebellius lirics, Then, in 1988, relased "Cuando te vallas" with the same pattern.
