Ubyk is an independent L.A. band and is the “golden-child” of Russian born singer/songwriter Roman Bluem. The bands unique "retro-esque" sound is a soothing blend of acoustic psych and psi-fi dystopia. Bluem’s vocal delivery compliments simple musical elements (guitars, harmonies, percussion, “secret weapons”) but neatly juxtaposes the cynical subject matter of his lyrics.
