Unit Nine are a Cambridge 5 piece metal band, formed by members of other local bands who wanted to try something different. What came out was a band drawing influences from Southern American metal bands such as Down, and British screamo bands such as Raging Speedhorn. After only 3 gigs, Unit Nine qualified for the Cambridge Battle of the bands final 2010, eventually losing out on the first prize, but did win the audience vote for band of the night.
