Vaaleanpunainen Kastelukannu was founded in 2007 by three guys who were on a weekend trip; Pentti Erkkinen, Erkki Penttinen and Liisa Petteri. That weekend they recorded their debut album Tohveli. After that they didn't do anything at all, until April 2009, when they performed live once and went on hiatus immediately after.
