Wavemaker were an English duo (John Lewis and Brian Hodgson) that released two albums: Where Are We, Captain? (1975) and New Atlantis (1977). They combined layers of synthesizer (the huge, custom modular Electrophon synthesizer) with live drums and percussion (tympani, mostly) for a hybrid of electronic music and progressive rock. Hodgson hailed from the BBC Radiophonic Workshop.
