Wei Zhongyue (卫仲乐, 衛仲樂, 1909-1997) was a famous Chinese instrumentalist, regarded as one of the finest players of the Pipa (lute) and the Guqin (zither). But who was well-trained in playing Erhu (two-stringed fiddle) and various flutes too. Since his childhood he had contact with Chinese folk instruments, being highly influenced by his family musical tradition.
