Willem van Manen ( Amsterdam , September 3 1940 ) is a Dutch composer. When he was seven Van Manen began taking piano lessons at John X . He also had trumpet . When he was fifteen he switched to the trombone and he studied with Henk van Bergen . He studied sociology .
