Yann Tomita (ヤン富田, born 1952) is an avant-garde composer based in Tokyo, Japan. He is also the first professional Japanese steelpan player. During the 1980s, he pioneered various music fields, including Hip Hop, Dub, Acid Jazz, Monde, Exotica, Electronic, lounge, and space age music.
