'Yatiri' means 'healer' in Quechua which is a traditional language spoken in the Andes . Oscar Beltran, the groups only full time member, was born in Bolivia and began playing music at the age of 11. At age 15 Oscar had formed his first band called 'Kantumarka' At age 17 Oscar travelled to New Zealand, to be the lead Guitarist in the Bolivian band 'Surkuy'.
