A trio comprised of fiddler and composer Mark O'Connor, double-bassist and composer Edgar Meyer, and cellist Yo-Yo Ma. They have released two records, Appalachia Waltz (1996) & Appalachian Journey (2000) The albums announce a new kind of Americana-styled Western art music, with ancestry in old-timey, bluegrass, folk, and traditional European classical styles.
