Şerif İçli (1899-1956) was a Turkish composer and ud player. İçli was born on 20th Decembert 1899 in Beşiktaş, Istanbul. After he finished at school he didn't continue on to higher education, but worked in various jobs until in 1938 he joined Ankara Radio. Resigning in 1946 he returned to Istanbul, working in nightclubs,making recordings, and giving private lessons. He died on 3rd February 1956 while working for Istanbul Radio.
