abrasions is an east bay post-rock/darkwave project written and arranged solely by J Ericson. Influenced by the likes of The Cure, Nine Inch Nails, and Elliott Smith, J began writing music alone in 2006. After several improvised ambient releases--including 2006's Shades of Summer and 2008's Nearly Lovers single--he began to take the project in a new direction.
