There are three artists/bands called Freebass. a) Freebass is the name of a band formed in Manchester, UK by Peter Hook (Joy Division, New Order & Monaco), Gary 'Mani' Mounfield (The Stone Roses & Primal Scream) and Andy Rourke (The Smiths). All three founding members were bass players in their former groups, which resulted in the band name Freebass being adopted.
