Lower Cut formed in the spring of 2009, when Panos Gounas and Vangelis Stavroulakis decided to kick off a project so they could express their common musical influences. Soon enough Yannis Efthymiou, Alexandros Darmis and Vasilis Mpaldos were added to the group, which took its final form in the autumn of 2011 with the addition of Irene Argyri in the vocals.
