Uphill Work started as an experimental duo in Moscow in winter of 2002. Konstantin Benyumov and Lev Gankine were at first the only members -- and that was to remain for a couple of years. The group started rehearsing and had their first album recorded by July, 2002. Sadly, those tapes recieved little acclaim and are now largely inaccessible. The music and the line-up have changed since those times considerably.
