John Marler went on a hiatus from Sleep and went on to become an Orthodox monk. During this time, he recorded some acoustic solo work that he played in Orthodox coffee shops. These tracks are very rough, and rare. 'Lamentation' is Justin Marler's 1995 album of acoustic songs that he wrote and recorded while he was living on a remote Alaskan island as an Eastern Orthodox monk.
